QEC Open Enrollment

2026 QEC Open Enrollment Coming Soon: What You Need to Know

Qualified Essential Coverage (QEC) open enrollment for eligible part-time employees is the once-a-year opportunity to make changes to benefits, including enrolling, adding or removing dependents, or dropping coverage.

QEC Eligibility

To be eligible for QEC medical benefits, part-time employees must average 30+ hours per week for the look back period, which is the previous 12 months. QEC eligibility is checked annually. Those who qualify will be eligible to elect QEC benefits for the next calendar year during Open Enrollment.

Open Enrollment Dates
Monday, November 10 – Friday, November 28, 2025

Part-time employees who are eligible for QEC benefits will receive an Open Enrollment postcard in the mail and should log in to Workday by clicking the Workday tile on Okta to complete their benefits enrollment for the 2026 calendar year.

Important
Some benefits do not automatically renew and must be re-elected during Open Enrollment to continue coverage in 2026.

What’s NEW for 2026

NEW Digital Benefits Guide

The printed Benefits Guide is no longer being mailed. Access the new, redesigned digital guide anytime, from any device. It’s easier to use and helps you make the most of your benefits.

ACTION NEEDED: Opt In for Electronic Consent for Delivery of Benefit Plan Documents

We’re making it easier — and greener — to access your employee benefit plan documents.

What’s Changing

Beginning with Open Enrollment, you can consent to receive employee benefit plan documents electronically instead of by mail.

Why Opt In?

  • Faster and more convenient — Access documents anytime through your Workday home page
  • Supports our sustainability efforts — Less paper, less waste
  • Keeps everything in one place — No more digging through mail

How to Opt In

When completing your Open Enrollment in Workday:

  1. Refer to the 2026 Benefits Guide (linked under Helpful Links), and review the Electronic Consent for Benefit Plan Documents page. If you would like your benefit plan documents electronically, you must opt in during Open Enrollment.
  2. To opt in, go to the Consent tile in your enrollment event.
  3. Keep the tile elected and select Electronic as your preferred delivery method, then submit.

Make the switch this year and help us go paperless!
