Substance use and mental health are often difficult to talk about, or even to admit if you have a problem. However, these conditions are common and, if you suffer from one, you are not alone.

If you or your family are in need of mental health and/or substance use services, your medical plan includes benefits to help you.

Provided Services

Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health Services include those received on an inpatient or outpatient basis in a Hospital, an Alternate Facility, or in a provider’s office. Benefits include the following services:

  • diagnostic evaluations and assessment
  • treatment planning
  • treatment and/or procedures
  • referral services
  • medication management
  • individual, family, therapeutic group and provider based case management services
  • crisis intervention
  • partial hospitalization / day treatment
  • services at a residential treatment facility
  • intensive outpatient treatment
